One-to-one care by Select Carers has a positive effect on the overall well-being of our clients and their families. Our live-in care service facilitates choice, independence, dignity and happiness.
Carers will perform basic personal care tasks such as bathing, washing and dressing, personal and oral hygiene, toileting, and manual transference.
We ensure that they are trained and have the previous experience to assist with or administer medication. Our training programme and delivery is overseen by our Nurse Director of Care.
Our specialist care services introduces carers who are capable of providing support with long-term medical conditions such as Palliative Care, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, various forms of Dementia, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson’s disease, Brain or Spinal injuries, etc. Carers, will in addition, offer emotional support and reassurance to the client’s family.
Many years ago we decided that the provision of care services would be of a higher quality if we worked in a different way to other services. Our clients have the benefit of being assessed by the Directors and senior management of the company, who have specialist skills built up over many years. Then the care of the client is safely handed over to the appropriate person who can handle the live-in care provision and select the carers most closely matched to the everyday needs of the client. The quality of the care provided has proved to be unrivalled.
Our live in care service introduces you to professional self-employed carers. You can be reassured that your loved one is in safe hands receiving personalised support in their own home, delivered by Select Carers with a reputation for high professional standards of care.
The plan of care is clinically overseen by our Specialist Nurse Director of Care. Following this, a dedicated Regional Care Manager will oversee the provision and selection of suitable carers to meet the assessed needs. Reviews will be arranged at your request when needed.
Susie Constantine has 15 years’ experience as a specialist Tissue-viability and Community Nurse; and has provided residential and home care services since 1998.
Unlike hourly and daily home care provision, provided by the majority of care agencies, our care agency introduces to you carefully-selected carers, who by living with the client provide that continuity of care that is so beneficial in creating meaningful relationships. Daily communication with a familiar person is essential for diminishing and preventing the onset of serious dementia conditions. Our carers often stay several weeks at a time. They are then replaced by a ‘partner’ carer who again will be familiar to the client. Our service will also provide suitable replacement carers when there is an emergency.
One of our Directors or a Senior Care Manager will visit to do a Care Assessment. Your care assessment will ultimately determine the type and level of care that you require.
Live in Care Assessment easily arranged. Please call our Devon care team on: 01392 592 022 or simply submit an enquiry online.
From this we will create a unique tailored care plans to meet your specific needs. The services provided by our professional self-employed carers will vary with every individual.
Two of our carers can provide round the clock assistance to your loved ones in the security of their own homes. Our service is nurse-led to ensure you’ll receive the highest standard of care.
Our management team will respond to your care enquiries and help you decide whether 24 hour care may be a suitable option
