Here at Live in Care at Home, we are providers of specialist 24/7 live in carers across the South of England. Bristol is one of our main regions of our care service; and we often place our specialist carers with those in need of assistance. Enabling people to live comfortably and independently within their own home, surrounded by friends, family pets and personal belongings
Live in Care Bristol is a 24 hour domiciliary home care service. Enabling the care seeker to live independently within their own home, this is a cost-effective alternative to a residential care or nursing home. Individuals are supported to keep their independence and normal daily routines by their live in care companion.
You can select your own carer, from a number of trained carers, who have the appropriate skills and experience to help you manage your health condition.
There are many tasks that your chosen live in carer will also be able to help with. These include: Housework, Shopping, Meal Preparation as well as personal care and mobilisation.
We supply a trained professional nurse-led carer, to live with you 24/7 in your own home.
We have an experienced and registered nurse, who is always available to provide expert help and advice to our team of specialist live in carers.
Our team of self-employed live in carers are trained at one of our two Training Centres. This is to the highest care standards. Carers then receive appropriate update training and are encouraged to continue their professional development.
Our specialist care training includes:
We are confident that we can help you with most of your requirements. However, you may still need the support of your local community nurses. We work closely with families, GPs, community nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide a co-ordinated, holistic package of care and support for our clients.
Here at Live in Care at Home, we source specialist carers for both elderly and younger people, who require support with daily living and are often vulnerable. Usually they find it increasingly difficult to manage alone. They want to carry on living in their own home and be able to control their environment. This is where Live in Care can be an option and we will assist in selecting the right carer for your care requirements.
We provide care for clients with varying types of dementia – from short-term memory loss to advanced Alzheimer’s. Some may have Parkinson’s or Huntington’s disease. Some clients need reablement because they are recovering from a stroke. Many require palliative care or end of life care.
How do I know if live in care is right for me? After the initial contact, we will visit you in your own home in Bristol, or in hospital, to assess your live in care needs. A consultant from our Live in Care Bristol team will come to you at your convenience; and together with you, will make a list of your care requirements.
We will review your medical conditions, your medication, your support needs, nutrition and diet preferences, live in carer accommodation, etc. If you have pets which need caring for that is fine too.
Having clarified your requirements, in the form of a care plan, we will send you a number of Live in Carer’ profiles so that you can select the perfect companion for you. The care package can be quickly arranged and can start very soon after this assessment.
Live in Care Assessment easily arranged.

Select Carers is a family owned business, managed by SRN qualified Nurse, Sue Constantine; along with her husband Paul Constantine BSc (Hons) 1st Class, who also has many years’ care experience.
We will visit you at home, prior to your care taking place. This is to ensure we send to you Carer Profiles of those carers we believe you will be compatible with. We understand the importance of continuity of care, so our support workers usually work for at least four to eight weeks at a time, before taking a short break.
Our carers have supported hundreds of vulnerable people, caring for them and enabling them to stay independent, assisting them with their daily routine. As needs and interests change your live-in carer will adapt the support to what is required. To allow you to retain independence they will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself.
Our live-in carers may sometimes walk the dog, do light housework, take responsibility for the laundry, do the shopping; and maybe even get involved in some gardening. If you are keen to stay at home rather than going into residential or nursing care then you will find that the cost will not be much more when compared to quality care home charges. Having this service will keep you in your own home for as long as possible. You can carry on with all of the things that you enjoy doing.
